Wellbeing
The mental health and wellbeing of all members of Ravensworth Primary School (including staff, children and parents) is fundamental to our philosophy and ethos ‘educating the whole child’.
Our vision is for all children and young people to have the support they need to build lifelong coping skills and thrive.
We make this happen by ensuring that we act with:
In School Support
We work very closely with our in-school service Place2Be and we have a fully trained ELSA. This gives us a broad range of support and a wealth of expertise.
Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity with over 25 years’ experience working with pupils, families and staff in UK schools.
They provide mental health support in our school through one-to-one and group counselling using tried and tested methods backed by research. They also offer expert training for staff. Place 2 Be also provide Place 2 Think and Place 2 Talk and parent support.
They have also begun the journey of hope program, which has a huge impact on confidence levels and aspirations for the future. More information can be found on the Place2Be website: https://www.place2be.org.uk/
